I have 26in waist and 34in hips and I wear size 3 in jeans and XS in bottoms typically. Often times panties in S fit tight on me, so I ordered these in both S and M. Surprisingly, both fit fine. They are made of thin stretchy fabric, and both sizes were neither too loose, nor too tight. I am getting more colors in S.
