I’m 5”5 140 pounds and a female I usually wear a size 32 or sometimes 34 I ordered the size 32 and I’m glad I did because the shorts hand stretch and they fit me comfortable not too small hugging my thighs and not too big they fit me just right I loved it hope this helps
